Today I got this Light Craft Workshop Fader ND Filter!

Hoe lekker goedkoop streamen bij IDF NV.

Als u alles 100% goed wilt doen:

1 > vraag de stream aan via www.idfnv.com
2 > vraag een domein en hosting pakket, geef ons aan dat het domein op naam van IDF NV moet komen te staan.
Het maakt niet uit als het een .NL of een .COM domein is.
Alles is mogelijk bij ons.
2a > heeft u zelf al een domein, verhuis deze naar ons toe, en vraag ons om het domein op onze naam te zetten.
3 > betaal uw factuur zo snel mogelijk, zodat wij voor u aan de slag kunnen gaan.

U hoeft niet bang te zijn dat u uw domeinnaam aan ons kwijt bent.
Want u ontvangt een mail van ons, waarin staat dat u het domein in bruikleen van ons krijgt.
De rest regelen wij intern op ons kantoor op Curaçao of de Seychellen, u hoeft voor de rest niets te regelen.
Deze regeling zal waarschijnlijk niet eeuwig duren, maar u mag er van uit gaan, dat u minimaal 1 a 2 jaar zo lekker goedkoop via ons kunt streamen.
Wij denken zelf dat dit zeker 5 jaar mogelijk zal zijn, ivm diverse wetgevingen in de wereld, dus wij hebben het niet over de wetgeving in NL, maar over die van de andere werelddelen..

Voor bestaande klanten:
Let wel op dat uw stream gegevens veranderen.
Dit moet je dus op de website aanpassen.
U kunt niet het zelfde subdomein en poort blijven gebruiken.
Want u komt daadwerkelijk op een server in het buitenland te staan is geen grap.

Ons hoofd vestiging zit niet in NL

Als uw stream bij ons in het buitenland staat en ook uw website dan hoeft u niet voor de Sena ‘bang’ te zijn.
De Sena zal altijd nog proberen om geld van u of ons te krijgen, maar ze kunnen dat vergeten.
Want wij zijn de eigenaar van de stream en de website, en wij wonen niet in NL, dus hoeven hen ook nooit iets te betalen.

Kan dat???!!!

Het klinkt goed, echter ik heb mijn twijfels of het echt wel werkt zoals aangegeven.
Natuurlijk is het mogelijk om servers etc in andere landen te plaatsen, maar mijn bedrijf is nog steeds in Nedeland gevestigd en dat is voor BUMA/SENA van belang om de licenties van kracht te laten zijn, lijkt mij.

To name a few things that are in progress at the moment:

Some tests are done live on a test stream. Others are done just in the studio.
Next week new hardware will arrive that will simplify the streaming process.

As reported earlier, a licence has been granted for OldSchoolFM, so everything is legal and ready to go.

The coming year will be used for testing several things.

The now totally renovated 9th presinct station house, that was used for the NYPD Blue TV series, with Dennis Franz, located at 321 5th Street, between 1st and 2nd Av.

We were in Belgium for a week, near the three country area.

I’d like to test with a real Shoutcast stream as well. Beacause that’s a totally different way of streaming, it’ll probably create a lot of other/extra questions. I’m waiting to hear back from someone at a shoutcast hosting provider about that.
The licensing is also something that’s becoming more clear.
The next thing I’d like to test is radio software and Shoutcast streaming.
When I’ll be testing again, I’ll tweet about it on Twitter.

By the way, ideas, feedback or suggestions about anything to do with Internet radio is still more than welcome.

UPDATE!!

Bij connecting the audio interface another way, I was able to stream with the Mac.

By using Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder I was able to create a STEREO stream on Ustream. Unfortunately the app is not available for Mac, so I’m back to using 3 computers again.

Let’s make it personal

This is just an idea. The tagline has to make it clear that this radio station uses computers but is not run by them. It’s all about real radio, like in the 80′s, created with real people, with live shows and flexibility. Not automated to death. Not everything will go as ‘planned’, but hey! We’re only human, right? Isn’t that the way it’s supposed to be?

From what I understand so far, after reading a lot of licensing info, I think the UK would be the best country to stream from. Somehow the UK has a much better approach to webcasting than the Netherlands.
Again, all thoughts, ideas and feedback are welcome. It’s needed actually.

Please read earlier blogposts as well. That saves me from a lot of copying and pasting.
