Hi all!
I’m back home again for the weekend.
I wanna apologize for the long time it took me to update the log.
Again, many things have happened and some are not finished yet.
I’ll let you in on some of them:
Although I ran into some trouble with someone, which influenced the way I’m experiencing everything there, I’m still learning a lot in Apeldoorn. There are six weeks left in the program. I still don’t know what’s gonna happen when I’m finished. Next week I’ll get more info about a program that could follow the current one. What I do know is that I’ll be in NYC in about seven weeks!
I had to return the brown colored contacts I talked about earlier. I miss them already. They caused me to experience less pain in a lot of different situations. Unfortunately they also changed the color of light from certain sources from white to green!! I also tried a darker shade, but they made the color change even worse. They were also too dark, causing me to see even less. Next I’m gonna try some others, grey/blue ones, to be able to make the right decision, but it’s gonna take time.
I also talked about software that’s being developed by a team that I’m part of.
It’s going really well and looks great. Unfortunately it already involves non-disclosure agreements, so that means I’m not allowed to talk about that.
More good news: It looks like from next week on, I’ll be doing some very cool stuff for a national broadcaster here in the Netherlands. Unfortunately I can’t tell more right now.
I hate not being able to talk about the stuff that’s going on and that I’m really happy with. Can’t be helped I guess.
So this and more is and has been going on.

Been Kinda Busy!

The last week was kinda busy.
Last weekend it was my birthday.
A few days later a second test with colored contacts. Unfortunately the wrong contacts were ordered so the coming week will start with a test with the darker ones (70% instead of 50%).
Throughout the week I had a few very interesting conversations and meetings that, at this point, I can’t talk about.
There’s also something that has to do with new software, but that’s something I can’t talk about right now as well.
More developments are to be expected on both things in the coming week.
Don’t know when I’ll be able to talk about it though.
And this weekend there was a big BBQ. It was a big success as well 
.
So, many things happened and it was pretty busy.
That’s why there was no HTP.
Will there be one in the coming week?

Colored Contacts

I’ve been experimenting with colored contact lenses.
They are dark brown and therefor dim the lightin the same way as sunglases do.
It looks like they are filtering out the brightest light that normaly hurts.
I’ve tried some things last night, in the dark, to see if they take away too much light, but that’s not the case.
Next week I’ll be trying a darker shade of brown.
If this works out, not only does it make using my vision more comfortable, but it could save me a lot of energy.

Luther Died

CNN: “Legendary R&B artist Luther Vandross, whose smooth, silky voice gave soul to songs about life, love and relationships, died Friday July 1st. He was 54 years old.”
I’ve got almost every album ever released by Luther. I also went to two of his concerts in Rotterdam. Way back, when I did a R&B show on local radio, I played a lot of Luther.
The next Hit Test will be a special tribute to this great singer, songwriter, producer and performer, that I’ll miss a lot.
Rest In Peace, Luther. Keep spreading the LOVE.
