Weekend

Posted on 30. Oct, 2005 by Jan Polet in News/Info

The week in Hilversum went pretty well. I had a good time and made some money too. :)
Back home it’s a completely different story. Just when you think things can’t get any worse, you find out they can. I don’t know where and how this is gonna end, but it seems that this divorce is not gonna be a friendly one and it will cost us a lot on lawyer fees. Not to mention what it’ll cost emotionally.
Two innocent kids are involved as well, which makes it even worse and extremely sad.
I wish I had a way to get out of here and still be able to work. Everything I need is in my office in the house, that used to feel like home.
No Hit Tests any time soon, I’m afraid.

Hotel in Hilversum

Posted on 25. Oct, 2005 by Jan Polet in News/Info

Since Monday I’ve been staying in a very nice hotel in Hilversum. I’ll be here for the rest of the week, doing work for the Veronica Radioschool.
I’ll be teaching a class on Thursday and Friday and the topic will be Sound Processing.
I don’t know when the next Hit Test will be sent to Adam.
Right now I’m tired, hungry and not in a very good mood.
The pizza I’ve just ordered will hopefully change some of that.

A New Week Started

Posted on 17. Oct, 2005 by Jan Polet in News/Info

Today I’ve been working on a mailing for a customer. I enjoy working with applications like Adobe Illustrator. In a way it’s almost relaxing.
I’ve also been waiting to hear from someone about some things that have caused me a lot of stress and confusion in the last couple of days. I can’t say anything about it, but I’m still waiting.
I’m trying to figure out what it is I have to learn from this and other things that are and have been going on in my life. I seem to have lost touch with that lately. There was a time in which I could see where things were going and why. At the moment I feel pretty lost and lonely and I wonder how long that’s gonna last.
I’ve been warned about putting personal things like this on my log, because people could use it to cause problems or take advantage of it.
Should I really be concerned about that?
Is it dangerous to be open and honest?
If so, what does that tell us?
Let me know what you think.

It’s Weekend!

Well the week is over and it hasn’t been easy at all.
I could really use some sort of a break to get away from it all for a couple of days, ’cause I’m so tired that I can’t think straight anymore.
Any suggestions?

Media Academie

Posted on 13. Oct, 2005 by Jan Polet in News/Info

I’m off to Hilversum for a meeting at the Media Academie (Dutch spelling) about the Veronica Radioschool.
So today again I’ll be spending a little over five hours in multiple forms of public transportation. Don’t want to be doing that every day! :)
Thank god for MP3 players and a thing called…..Podcasting!
No Hit Test today.

Busy

I’ve been a bit busy. Too busy to create a Hit Test.
A lot is going on and it isn’t easy.
Unfortunately it doesn’t look like it’ll be getting easier soon.
If things happen that I CAN talk about, you’ll find them here.
