Websites!

Posted on 27. Oct, 2006 by Jan Polet in News/Info

I have to figure out what I’m gonna do with all of my websites.
The domains www.janpolet.nl, www.janpolet.com, www.hittest.nl, all go to this blog. Then there’s http://www.helpathand.nl/ and http://www.hittestproductions.com/.
I already changes the info on http://www.helpathand.nl/, but I’m not sure yet how to set everything up. Any suggestions?

(New) (Media) Activities!

Posted on 24. Oct, 2006 by Jan Polet in News/Info

Lately, since my work shifted more and more from ITÂ to audio, I’ve been busy with the following:

  • AUDIO IMAGING: voice overs, sweepers, beds, custom made music, complete packages
  • PRODUCTION:Â formats, podcasts, music
  • MASTERING: creating the final touch for pre-recorded audio, giving it more clearity and power
  • TEACHING: basic audio and sound processing, everything you need to know to work with audio in a (radio) studio
  • GRAPHICS: basic layouts of brochures, flyers, signs, letterheads, cards, adds, PDF’s, etc

I still haven’t had the time to put info online about all of this. I will do that as soon as I can. In the meantime, if you’d like some information, you can reach me at hittest@gmail.com.

Website Problems!

Posted on 24. Oct, 2006 by Jan Polet in News/Info

Since I activated “Users must be registered and logged in to comment” this site hasn’t had any more problems. Spam was most likely the cause of the database lockups. It makes it harder to comment, but at least de site won’t be down every few days. So it you want to leave a comment, you first have to register, which doesn’t take long at all, and then login to be able to.

Hit Test 69 For Adam Curry!

Posted on 24. Oct, 2006 by Jan Polet in Hit Tests, News/Info

I’ve created and sent Adam one more Hit Test. It was weird creating one, a year and a few days after he did de last one. Adam stopped doing the Hit Test when the Daily Source Code went podsafe. I’m curious about when he’s gonna play it and also about the listener reactions. To be continued…

One More Hit Test On Adam Curry’s Daily Source Code!?

Posted on 23. Oct, 2006 by Jan Polet in Hit Tests, News/Info

On Daily Source Code 481, Adam played Seduction by No Tie Generation. That’s one of four songs by No Tie Generation I did the mastering for. Adam talked about it and mentioned that long time listeners should remember my name as producer of the Hit Test. He also said it would be great if we could do one more Hit Test on the DSC. Although I’m not sure I want to do that, I must admit, after listening back to a few Hit Tests and hearing how great they were, that I could be very nice. In the meantime I made Adam a new showopener, which Adam already used on two Source Codes (DSC 482 and 483).

Not Enough Time To Create A Podcast!

Posted on 19. Oct, 2006 by Jan Polet in News/Info

It doesn’t look like I’ll be able to record a podcast this week after all. There’s still too much other stuff that needs my attention. Sorry!

Incredibly Busy!

Posted on 14. Oct, 2006 by Jan Polet in Uncategorized

So much has happened over the last weeks (and is still happening by the way) which made it absolutely impossible to do anything that has to do with podcasting. Sorry about that. Í hope to release a new podcast somewhere next week. All I have to do is find some good music and figure out what to say! :) Talk to you soon!

Car Almost Stolen!

Posted on 11. Oct, 2006 by Jan Polet in News/Info

AlbiziaSomewhere between last friday and today, my car was almost stolen. Both the doors were damaged, the dashboard twisted and the steering column bent, becasue they tried to break the steering column lock. They failed! The total cost of the damage is still to be determined, but I’m out of € 350,- deductible. Sigh…….
